About

Shapes of Light  is an isometric, turn-based strategy game set in a dark and mystical fantasy world. Players must defend themselves against dark demons by strategically summoning shapes of light onto the battlefield.

Cleverly plan your moves ahead to ensure survival as you navigate through the chambers of darkness, which are generated procedurally. Strengthen your shapes with powerful reinforcements for every chamber you beat and escape the darkness!

How to play

Shapes of Light is a turn-based strategy game. Your goal is to kill all demons of the current chamber. Once you killed them all, you can progress to the next chamber.

Everything is tied to action points. For every tile you move and every attack you make you will pay with one action point. Once you have no action points left, you should click Done to end your turn.

After every turn you get a random shape in your inventory. You can choose to drag and drop it onto the battlefield, which will cost you all action points and will automatically skip your turn.

Hovering on your mage, a shape or a demon allows you to see their current stats. The big number on the left shows the remaining action points. Next to the sword you can see the attack damage of the unit and above the sword you can see their current HP and maximum HP.

On the ground you can also see the attack range of the unit. A crosshair on the ground means, that this tile can be reached with an attack of the unit.

Controls

Left-Click - Interact with buttons, select a unit, move to a tile while having a unit selected  

Left-Click (Drag and Drop) - Drop a shape from your inventory onto the battlefield via drag and drop  

Right-Click - Deselect a unit  

WASD - Move the camera  

Escape - Pause the game
